Installing Ubuntu is an easy way to experience an OS that is regarded as more secure, more stable, and often faster and easier to use than windows. Linux however is not windows (otherwise how could it be better?). It takes a little bit of learning, but remember it is easier to learn to use than windows and there is an excellent online community willing to help answer questions and solve concerns. If you've ever installed an OS or are feeling adventurous I would definitely recommend giving this a try! Also, you can easily have both windows and Ubuntu installed on your pc!
